Being a single parent has its pros and cons IMO.

I do miss the team parenting, agree with you there. But i wont be the bad guy always. My ex likes me too but doesnt happen. At her house she has to be a parent and grow some uphfffffff if you know what i mean.

nah, i really don't.

even when i was married, i set all the rules, all the guidelines...every single thing to do with the children. i made all the decisions.

i wish i could say that i missed...being able to pass them off when i was pulling out my hair or sick...but that never happened.

Well, since I played the role of mother and father from the get-go, I can't really relate. I did a good job, though. My daughter is grown and married and healthy and happy.

Never played the 'good cop bad cop' thing..

It was never "Wait 'til your father comes home"..She dealt with, it, and I did, too..rolling on the floor laughing

It is hard but I would not change it for the world. I have grown so much closer to my girls than I ever could have imagined. I don't nurture that well so I hope they turn out all rightgrin

i'm not cynical, really.

i would have loved to be able to get some help with them when i was ill...or exhausted. it's just a fact that it never happened.

and that's my fault...since i insisted on certain things with the children.

I never felt the need for team parenting, I was divorced 15 yrs ago, and my son turned out to be a healthy and emotionaly stable young man.

Almost 19 yrs old now, I have to say, I made it a choice to be divorced, stay single, and raised my children on my own.

I have never found it difficult, because I already knew what I be facing.

With my daughter, I just live a PG 13 life, lol...no one can take care of her medical needs, so I face my challenges, and feel blessed.
