Ever get tired? (27)
superdougie11Edmonton, Canada40 Threads 533 PostsWell, I'm having a bit of a down day today. I think I'm just thinking too much but, do any of you ever get tired of living? Do you ever get tired of struggling day to day, just so you can get up the next day and do it all over again? If so, how do you deal with it? I find that quite often I'm asking myself "Why am I doing this?". Discuss!
Some times I wonder why I exist.. and I dont mean that in suicidal way .. I mean like.. what am I suppose to be doing here.... It seems I go to bed everynigt.. and wake up for work ..and then do it all over again ... will I ever d aything different.. LI wish I could just skip trough the next ten ears of my life..and be where I am suppose to be .. .. I think to much as well.. Dougie I thnk it would be best if you just move to London and we get marrid.. ad buy a house together and make babies.... Ithink its best for all of us.
I think you're crazy! LOL! I just feel like I'm stuck in some sense? I think alot of how I feel has to do with my job? I have tried on many occasion's to move up the corperate ladder but with no success. It's almost like I'm working to make someone else's life better and not my own!
Well.. at the job I hae now.. I honestly dont think I'd be happy if I moved up.. I dont want to be stuck behind a desk all day long.. and thats what nnoys me.. I just cant figure out what it is I should be doing wth my life.. that makes me happy... and .. what if I decide on something..and its the wrong path.... It confuses the hell out of me..

Oh ya, I forgot! LOL! See I don't worry about whether I'm making the right choice's. I figure if it's meant to be it will pan out in the end. My problem is that I'm going to work everyday just to put money in someone else's pocket and make their life better. I feel I should be benefitting more from what I do.
Perhaps you may like to look for another job while you are still at this one, then if you get the new job you can give your present boss 2 weeks notice. There is a whole new world out there waiting for you to experience.

Well .. No matter where you work .. You going to be putting money in someone elses pocket .. unless you are interested in owning your own business...Then .. you can have others put money in ur pocket .. ;).. I think that some times in life... we go through stages where were not happy about our life situation .. and then we get by ... with ur love ones and friends helping us of course.. But like you szaid.. it will work out in the end.. and life will li its course.
I understand how you feel. I feel like that lots of days. I have not found a reason why I keep existing - but I do. So, I just get up the next day and do the same thing - make it through another day. It is a depressing way to live, I know. You just have to keep hanging in there.
If your job schedule allows it (mine doesn't) you might want to try doing some volunteer service work. Helping others is a good way to get oneself outside of oneself. If you can't do that - you just have to keep on hanging in there and try to take your existence one day at a time. I know, I understand that it is very difficult at times. L.

Well my job pay's well, about $47000.00 a year, and the benefit's are good. I just feel like I'm wasting my time with this type of work? Going back to school is almost impossible for me. I only have half of grade 10, so I'd have to start from there. Also, student loan's won't give me enough to live off of! Guess I'm just feeling a little frustrated today. There was a job opening in my company. I have the type of experience they're looking for but, when I went for the interveiw the manager basically told me that I won't get the job because they need me where I am. Hence why I said I feel like I'm stuck!
So find another place to go, plain and simple, since you feel stuck. Start looking right now, every chance you get. You can't change all the people all the time, only some of the people some of the time!

What works for me with regularity...is prayer. Without being self righteous, as I said this is what works for ME. While Im in the shower, not wanting to face the day...I ask God to give me the strength to make it out the door. Once Im out the door in the morning, Im off. I'ts that 45 minutes from the time I get up to the time I leave the house that gets me. I also try, though not always successful, to see the day as a blank piece of paper. I can paint, colour, or write, anything I want on it.
I've also asked myself "why am I doing this day in and day out"...it's tiring...it's no fun". When I feel like that, it's time to break the routine a little. I take about 1, what I call a mental health day every 6 weeks or so. I blow off work and do something fun, or, do nothing at all.

Definatly. I think everyone has had days like that. Its perfectly normal. We are just feeling overwhelmed about everything, especialy this time of the year where the holidays just finished and it was hectic etc...
What I try to do is try to organize a night or day (whenever I am free of the kids lol) to just relax. I rent a few good movies, get my favorite food and have a nice hot bath or shower and then get into nice warm pj's and just eat and chill. It helps to reload a bit.
I also sit for a moment and watch my children and how they interact and play. I find joy and peace in watching them play and giggle and laugh. Just their innocense and those glitter in their eyes.
Just find anything positive that can help you distract you from the stress and try to do it often. At least once a week if you have to. That is what I do and it works for me.

Guess this could also reflect the relationship's I've had over the last year or two. I keep wondering when thing's will fall into place for me? I'm getting tired of dating new people and getting excited, just to find out something about them that I don't like! It's tiring!
