How do you keep them both as friends?

Do you think it's possible?

Inevitably will you only end up being friends with one?

i've had this problem many times when two of my friend would date and then break up.. they would try to get mad at me for being friends with the other person.. i told them they were both my friends before they dated and they are both my friends now that they broke up.. if they are really both my friends they will not tell me not to be friends with each other

my friends marriage broke up after 27 years and i tried to stay friends with both but he got nasty. She was left with nothing it was hard for her to deal with as well as all of their friends. Not one of us could believe a person could change so much and so nasty....they split 7 years ago and its still going on at this moment he is pushing for her to sell the family home as the youngest has turned 18. The judge has agreed telling her she can still afford a house with the money from the sale but it means her and the kids startin a new life in a new town miles away from us. She does not drive and over christmas she took ill and had to have surgery. So this year is starting out not so good for her .......hug

I've found myself in this situation many times in my 30 years, and I always remain friends with everyone. My friendships tend to last.

Sometimes people don't always know their putting you in the middle.

And If they are back off for awhile.

I feel uncomfortable at times. Not sure how to handle it sometimes.
