my barely fourteen-year-old is about to start college algebra...she's allowed to take one college class per semester, counting as BOTH college and high school credits.
sooo...she's going to graduate early with two semesters worth of college already under her belt.
We have ASU here in tempe and they work so wel with the Tempe Hichscools......My 15 year old is in a program like that and will graduate highschool with a good bite out of college.
I don't know where my daughter got her brains at but she has been correcting my spelling since she was like 7

take care she does not feel to pressured with the attention..or the load....
mine is 12 and just started high school..... so far she is handling the work load.... but 3 languages all new ones, and history and algebra are beginning to show on her....i will watch carefully , so that she gets to be a child as long as possible!!
but it is beautiful to watch and see...congrats Lori ...heh heh proud mommy
Your right with that. With my oldest son it has been his own initiative that earned him an "a" honor roll. He is not pressured but has geared himself to excel in school.
My daughter on the other hand wasn't that way and I had quite a problem getting her to go to school. She did have testing when she was a freshman in high school and tested pre college level on all but one subject. My youngest son is pretty much an average student and that's alright too.
I think you deserve to brag as much as any mother. You are a very smart woman so she must take after you. I hope she always does well and is happy with what ever major she decides on.
"i wish there had been a program like that here with i was a kid..."
Certainly not meant to take anything away from your daughter, I'm sure she is quite smart.
But just the same, it's also true that a lot of smart kids simply aren't recognized and may also not have the proper parenting and/or mentors that can help them to be recognized.
Give yourself a pat on the back for that one as well, I'm sure your parenting played a role too.
And like I say, that doesn't take anything away from your daughter.
Normally I would say that everyone thinks their kid is smart. But this is a special case. My half brother who stays with his grandparents is the same way, and already has a job waiting for him with Nintendo. He is very smart, but hard to get a laugh out of.
