They are still rebuilding all along the coast towards that area. Some of it is very old damage. I hope you able to find a reasonable place to live.

Been down there once. Went to the Naval station to learn how to get out of a helicopter if it flips over in the water while in the Coast Guard years ago. Didn't see much of the area as I was there for one night without transportation. Soon as the course was over, I was on my way back to NY.

In some spots it is, if go along the gulfcoast alot of areas is worst then New Orleans. It brings tears to see that much destruction, a lot of place totally gone. In Florida you still have areas with trailers from Charlie. You have to realize that it took years to build in the first place and will take just as many to get it back.
