Iyyov: I find your remarks wholly offensive. My wife of blessed memory was 18-years older than me. We were together for the rest of her life, for 26-years, after we were married. There were very few, if any, age related issues while we were married during that 26-year period.
There were some exceptions. Some people treated us badly, from the start. We saw lots of discrimination, people that didn't think a couple, such as us, should be together. But that is just pure discrimination. I've seen a lot of that in my life.
People have a choice. If they don't mind the age-difference between themselves, then nobody else has any right to say anything, as long as they are both over the age of consent, and both are mentally competent.
Shalom, Iyyov
I don't know why you choose to chop up my post and create a problem out of nothing. No need to feel offended. Your personal experience is more of an exception and doesn't outweighs the reality. As I said in my first post such relationships can be successful... But they are not a majority. And yes, it's a personal choice and you can not be angry at people for looking at it in a different way. It is your life after all. It would have been no different if your wife was 20 years younger than you.
spikkels999: I'M BUSY WORKING...AND HAVE NO TIME TO WATCH THIS NOW... Will see if I have time tomorrow... Enjoy the rest of your FUN at other's expense... I don't like it when people try to make me into a JOKE for ALL... If you are INSECURE...I'm NOT your OINTMENT...
