The NY Times did an investigation into the clemency of one Jonathan Braun by the ex-president on his way out of office in 2021. It seems there is alot of evidence to suggest that use of presidential clemency without Dept of Justice oversight is an abuse of presidential powers. We all know the criminal aspects of the Trump family business and the shady real estate and financial support provided to the family - the Kushners and the the Trump underlings. Support for tis type of unwieldy power and unhinged disrespect for the Rule of Law is unprecedented.
