I have been feeling guilty for lying, I put my age on this site as 48 when I am in fact 58, so WHY.
This is very difficult to explain without upsetting someone!
But hear goes I am a very young at heart person, very fit and agile a bit of a freak for my age, so when I put my true age I get totally incompatible women, (hear goes) that reminds me of my granny and they too cant believe my age, I feel so uncomfortable Ive stopped dating anyone of my age, unless there are anymore freaks of nature out there.
I usually date women around 45 years old, so I wait til they see me then tell them, most arn't bothered, some are, just about the lying bit, but if I don't lie I don't date and if I do lie I have some dates.
I hate it but WHATS the solution?????doh

you certainly are doh why lie about your age if you look good you should be feeling good, i know i look fantastic because lots of people tell me so, i look nothing like my granny, another freak of nature i guess, the same reason i date younger men, men my own age remind me of my grandpa and i feel far too young for that, so you see the solution is scold always tell the truth you little devil katie the angel

Age is just a number or is it? The fact remains that most people dread being referred to as "older" and here in the US if you are my age you are considered a "senior citizen". I hate it! Am I in denial, no but society has put such emphasis on staying young. We can't be forever young, there are definate changes that will occur, no avoiding that. However, I believe the mind, our attitudes, etc., can remain as young as we desire. I guess what makes me sad is that there are men out there who won't even look at a woman over 50 and many won't even give someone a chance if a woman is in her 40's. I call myself the invisible woman because although beauty is in the eye of the beholder, women my age are looked upon as someone's mother or grandmother. I don't know if I can judge someone and tell them it is wrong to lie about your age. However, truth has always been what I embrace. The reality is men can get anybody if they have the looks. Some men are in denial, they think having some hot chick on their arm makes them look young, more often then not, people think otherwise. But if you have the looks and can handle the demands of a younger woman, go for it!thumbs up

Well, shame on you!! It doesn't matter what excuse you put to it, I would never, ever trust anyone that lied - EVER!! You know where you are with womanisers, gamblers, alcoholics, thieves, etc - you never, ever know where you are with a liar!

It doesn't matter how agile and fit you are for your age, either - your personality and reliability clearly leaves a lot to be desired. This, in addition to your thread about overweight people, is painting a very clear picture of you, mate. You may be 58 chronologically and think you are 48 but I suspect your mental age is lacking the first digit in both respects!!

I am 45 and I wouldn't touch you with someone else's barge-pole, let along my own...........!!

Another thread to ignore then???thumbs down scold

I feel proud of my age, play squash go to the gym 3 times a week, spent most of last summer bombing around the forest in the Czech Republic on my mountain bike.I am what I am 65 going on 30.Never connected with people my age,I asked my teenage grand daughters why they spent so much time with their grand dad. They had a very simple answer "you have never grown up,you are more like us"I can live with that,I connect with younger people so my age is not a barrier.
Take care.Ray
