Got home from work and am cooking Crab cakes for dinner. Im a batchelor who works 60 hours a week so my cooking skills are limited. Whats your specialty?
I have a lot of specialities but I came across something that was sooooo good for chilly days and a snap to make.
Cut excess fat off a 5-7 lb ham. Put in a crockpot on low for 8 hours. Drain pot and shred ham. It will fall off the bone. Add 3/4 to 1 box of light brown sugar and 6-10 ouces of mustard. (I add less but depends on taste) Stir and let heat for 30 minutes. Serve on hamburgers buns, rolls, or hoagies. Leftovers freeze great. SImply and delicious.
A poppadum, I think I spelt it wrong before.. is served as a accompaniment type bread with curries...
There are many types made with different flours, (Chick pea, potato, wheat, lentils) and are formed into a doough, then pressed wafer thin and fried, they crunch up and is yum...Naan bread is another, or chapatis, made with flour, oil and water, and also rooled thin and grilled
I was actually thinking that, too. I will add a section in the final draft that can let people tell me if they want to cook something. It would be fun trying some different things from around the world.
An Australian cooking Indian, Japanese, Italian and everything BUT Australian cuisine...sorry but I can't bring croc or roo steaks for the barby it just woundn't be right!!!!
