No I've nevr been in the military. My ex (and current best friend) is in the Army National Guard. When we were dating he was in Iraq for ten months.
My Dad was army/navy and is a Vietnam Veteran. My grandparents and uncles were all in the Army-- ANd my Dad's father was not only in the Army but in the Air Force as well. And one of my friends is in the Navy, and the other is a Coastie.
