After the storm comes the calmness
After many tears much joy,
After the dew comes the sunshine
Paving way for another new morn.

After the winter comes springtime
And each dormant seed comes to bloom,
After the planting the harvest
Like a blend of the rarest perfume.

After the ache comes the magic
And gray skies turn a bright vivid blue,
When the prayer of the heart is then answered
And the splendor comes trickling through.

After a lifetime of weaving
Each thread that we use will reveal,
As each stands alone with his pattern
Then the call to step forth will be clear.

Oh, please, dear Heavenly Father
Let your love deep within me shine bright,
So that when the tapestry's finished
It will spread a faint glow in the night.
