I am the race capable to use the atom to burn the flesh, to create some of the deadly mushrooms for millions of screams. Of the one that knows how to convince the abdomens to make exploding themselves, for the mixture of a maximum of tripe to collect on the sidewalks. Of the one that can cut the life to the machete, to take off the eyes, the viscera, the fetuses.
And just after, to sleep quietly.

I am the race capable to invent laboratories camps of the horror, to concentration of fear, hunger and pain. Of the one that knows how to collapse lives with towers, play chess with lives, fight for death with riders, to bring up the armies with pawns, to soil the stomachs with ladies, to become madman in the name of a king.
And just after, to sleep quietly.

I am the race capable to drown the children, to char the faces, to hit with coshes, to decapitate under settings of justice. Of the one that knows how to disfigure the face of even conscious elephants, to put in fire the millions of hectares, to urinate of the tons of gluey in the sea.
And just after, to sleep quietly.

I am the race capable to elect the worse for rudder, to divert funds for a more precious wood in the chimney, to believe to anything and to like the money's odor. Of the one that sighs hardly, seeing the picture of a starved who has under the nails the black of a far desert. Of the one that, in a vagueness start, sometimes waves the fist on the pavement while mumbling slogans of one political failure.
And just after, to sleep quietly.

I am the race capable to spit and to insult. To slaughter and to torture. To betray and to take vengeance. I am the race of hate. I am the race of the power. I am the race of the shame.

Do not forget that I am a race capable of understanding, of compassion, of sensitivity, of art, of medicine, of building a better world, to produce children, to teach our families, and most of all to LOVE. We are the human race. Despite our downfalls, and our evils, we also have our goods, and our angels

I choose the light, and to spread it.

There is what the posts that I could read last night on the forums inspires to me...if hate and the anger are easy things...the love and compassion sometimes hold the miracle!
The essential is not what we say, the essential is in the tone...

we as a people can never let go of that miracle, or else all is lost. The tones convey the messages more than the words most of the time, but sometimes its the thought that matters most. If a kind word can spread joy for minutes, hours, days, years, a harsh word can do the same if not worse. Unfortunatly love and hate are two sides of the same coin that is flipped much too often in the wrong direction. Love and enjoy life because you only get one trip through, and the funny thing about life is no one makes it out alive.

Well said. Unfortunately, thanks to media exposure, there seems to be an increase on the types that would seek to bring us, all of us and our planet harm. There seems to be an increasing amount of the types personified by General Jack Ripper in the movie Dr. Strangelove and certainly of those with attitudes like Major T.J. "King" Kong, who, with joyous abandon rides the atom bomb down to blow-up the planet. Those attitudes, that type of mind(less) set seems to be spreading like a virus. Which "light" will we see...the light of "a thousand suns" or the Light of "the Bright Side"; I'd prefer it to be as Monty Python put it: Always look On The Bright Side Of Life. I would hope that we never have to see the nuclear light... just a thought.

Jess, intelligent girl (and mom), I am sure that this light sparkles gild and already by your daughter's smile and that it perpetuates itself through everything that you can teach to her.
