to me it depends on whether you want a friendship or a relationship...when i start a relationship we work on becoming friends also...

I think it can depend onn the situation, but yes there must be freindship there to maintain a relationship. you won't be bestest buddies all the time, though. You will get on each others nerves, lol. But, that goes with any relationship that lasts...

Personally, I enjoy being friends first, there is no pressure and you can be yourself with a friend. But this may go along with wanting a friendship-based relationship as well. I need to feel my man is one of my good friends, that we can talk and enjoy each other's company.
What are your opinions?
