Odd you mention this ... I just spent 2 hours on the phone with a good friend who's going through a tough break up ...
We were talking about nostalic memorabilia (sp?)... she wanted to keep it all, I said toss it.
She believes that even though he turned out to be a selfish hairy ape - when he gave her those "things" he meant it, he was in love and very sincere...
She didn't think he would regret giving her those tokens of his love and that he would want her to have and keep them?
Bless her -she's hurting so I listened attentively like a good friend does - kept my real jaded opinion to myself.
