Aries

Flowers: The vividly colored geranium and broom. It is less easy, however, to explain the Arien dominion over honeysuckle.

Herbs: Peppermint, which is said to ease digestive complaints when brewed as a tea, has long been associated with Aries.


Taurus
Flowers: Taurus rules the rose, primrose, columbine, daisy, foxglove, poppy, and violet. The reason for these attributions are lost in the mist of time.

Herbs: Spearmint is only one of the herbs traditionally lined to Taurus. Among the others, arrack was used to cure throat infections and older root for snake bites.



Gemini
Flowers: Azaleas, lily of the valley, ferns, lavender, and myrtle are all Geminian flowers.

Herbs: Lemon balm is good for curing the stitch, and arrowroot can be applied to a blister. An infusion of nettles soothes a sore throat. All of these herbs are governed by Gemini.


Cancer
Flowers: All plants that flower at night are connected with Cancer. Other Cancerian flowers include acanthus, honeysuckle, and white rose and lily.

Herbs: Saxifrage, which calms the stomach, and purslane, good for liver ailments, are both Cancerian herbs.


Leo
Flowers: The sunflower, marigold, and celandine, all of which reflect the vibrant colors of this sign, are ruled by Leo.

Herbs: All herbs are believed to be ruled by Leo. This particularly true of angelica, which "comfort the heart"; eyebright, which is good for eye ailments; and pimpernel, which alleviates toothache.


Virgo
Flowers: All flowers red and pink

Herbs: Any herb that has a red or a pink flower comes under the ruler ship of Virgo.


Libra
Flowers: Large, opulent roses and those flowers which, like Taurus , are ruled by Venus- for example, violets, foxgloves ,and daisies- are all loved by Librans.

Herbs: Sorrel, which alleviates skin disorders, and figwort, which prevents blood clots, are all ruled by Libra.


Scorpio
Flowers: Those flowers ruled by Aries, like the spiky thistle, and most dark red flowers, such as some geraniums, are governed by Scorpio.

Herbs: Scorpio rules the same herbs as Aries, such as peppermint. It is most strongly associated with herbs that have very dark red flowers. These include figwort, which quells itching, and doves foot, which is good for colic and for expelling kidney stones.


Sagittarius
Flowers: Dandelions, lime-flowers, carnations, and pinks are all flowers traditionally associated with Sagittarius.

Herbs: Lemon balm is a Sagittarium herb. A syrup made from it, with sugar added, was once kept in every house to relieve a weak stomach and general sickness.


Capricorn
Flowers: Pansies and ivy re two of the decorative plants said to be ruled by Capricorn.

Herbs: The poisonous belladonna is ruled by Capricorn


Aquarius
Flowers: Aquarian flowers include those ruled by Taurus and Capricorn, but particularly the orchid and goldenrod. The letter is often used as herbalist's cure for " inward hurts and bruises.

Herbs: Taurean herbs are, for the most part, also ruled by Aquarius. This is particularly rue of common sorrel, which helps counter inflammations, and elder.


Pisces
Flowers: Dandelions, lime-flowers, mosses, lichens, water lilies, and pinks- in fact most plants that grows in Piscean colors-are associated with Sun sign.

Herbs: Herbs are ruled by Cancer and Sagittarius come under the influence of Pisces. They include sage and saxifrage.
