Hmmm that did cross my mind I must admit. It is true I must settle down, get a stable job and a circle of friends...but I will always be a wanderer if not literary than in my souls..like a gypsy. I guess I also need another wanderer and outsider like me as a companion but where are they??????????????????

Just thinking.Could it be that they are alittle depressed or alot and that makes them feel like they don't belong?Depression can make one find no sense in anything and no reason to everyday stuff and also a sense of not belonging.

It happens to everyone at times. For some it last for awhile and for some for very long maybe because they like it there and don't want to change.

could be anything really but they have to help themselves or if not strong enough they seek help from society

Sometimes we like the state we are in as we feel we are different with the masses and makes one feel good and sometimes better than the rest.I say we maybe because at times i have felt the same but thank God just for a short time.:).Everyone is different and has different needs.

Well thats a good question. All my life I was an outsider wherever I went but I didn't have a problem with that and I quite liked it and I still like it although its not my choice its just the way I am. The question is why did I start to feel uncomfortable with it? And I enjoy being by myself not that I desperatelly need someone. I guess its just all the uncertainty at the moment about my future. I don't know where I belong any more which country to settle, and I need a stable job in my field which is soooo dificult and competetive. I want to stay in Europe and going back to Australia is just not feasible at the moment. Anyway...the outsider problem remains

AAaa Australia aaaaaa, such a lovely country with such lovely people.I call australia heaven on earth or the country closer to paradise.I see what you mean. Then we are all kind of outsiders when we are not in our own countries.Maybe you are not comfortable with it anymore as you feel you need to start a family and although you say that you dont desperatly need someone we all need to know that someone is there for us ot that someone has us in their heart and is thinking of us....They say no man is an island.

The good thing with humans is we never stay the same(could be bad as well hehe). Our needs change ,our hobbies change and as we grow we become wiser (some dont hehe)and what we liked before we dont anymore.

I think Austaralia is lovely ,maybe you need to be closer to home so as to feel less an outsider.Just a thought.

Yes but the problem is that I don't see Australia as my home any more (dont know if it ever was) and I am closer to home but that doesn't help. Where is my home? Where the heart is..but...hmmmmconfused

You are exactly right that's it. But I cant help it thinking is what I do for living. Its not just like a light switch on/off. I wish I can stop thinking I am sick of the insights thats what makes one an outsider.dunno
