After smoking between 2-3 packs of cigarettes a day for twenty something years, I had lit the last cigarette in the pack, smoked about half of it, stubbed it out, and never touched another one for eight years. Then I went through the trauma of seperation, divorce and the ignominy of having no work. Then in 2002 I started again and was quickly back on two packs a day. A couple of weeks ago, I smoked my last cigarette again. A couple of days ago, after having a couple of beers, I tried a cigarette, felt physically sick after two puffs, & threw it away. Apart from that one momentary lapse, I have no craving for nicotine.
As with a lot of people who quit, I tend to eat more, but having been the same weight for nearly 30 years, I consider myself lucky that I just don't put on weight.
NO MORE SMOKES FOR ME!thumbs up uk

No, keep smoking. I loved smoking when I was young and still miss it. I liked the flavor, the ritual, the relaxation. ***Sigh***. Of course, after a while you're just kidding yourself and asking for cancer............

WTG, that is great. thumbs up applause I've never been a smoker (well have smoked a cigarette on occasion when drinking), but my Mom stopped smoking about 7 months ago after smoking for pretty much 45 years nonstop. It's great that you don't have the craving, I've heard of people still craving it even years after quitting.
