Hi all, Noticed the thread and wanted to get my 2 cents in. I met an Ozzie girl online 7 years ago, we chatted for 8 months and she came to the states. After 3 weeks of being together and traveling, she invited me back here. I was looking for a change and she was a good looking terrific lady. Well we ended up getting married, get this, everyone knew I was getting married before I did. She had set the date and told everyone but me about it. We lasted for about 4 years, and ended up divorcing just recently. It was all over money, I couldn't make it fast enough. I was taking care of her kids and parents and it was costing me anywhere from 4-6K a month. She came to me one day and told me she had booked a 6 week trip to Europe and her girls with going with her. That was it for me, I left the following week. I tried to have conversations with her and offered to go to counciling, but to no avail. We spoke 3 times in 2 years. It's true about you don't know someone till you live with them.

so sorry Geoff you went through all that pain and drama....and yes u truly don't know someone till you live with them...my ideal relationship these days is best friend/lover but don't live together...living together seems to ruin a good thing how sad am I lol

Australia is my home, I have been back to the states twice in the last 3 months, it reaffirmed that I want to stay here. I should have my Ozzie citizenship soon, all I lack is a nice lady in my life. You can't give up because of bad experiences, somewhere the right person is out there. Maybe it's you??!! haha
