How long should it take before you give someone on the net your mobile no? (30)

Umm ever heard of Nigerian Scams...they come in many forms.. mainly to do with removing money eventually in some form out of your thus wallet, with some wonderful fairy tale with a proposed happy ending...if that is what it seems that is what it more than likely is... they have scammed Doctors, surgeons, business people with seemingly plausable stories about all sorts of things. They appear to absolutely genuine people..yeh right... Please note Second most populus capital of Africa...is you guessed it ... drum roll... Nigeria.. thus i come to the profound conclusion and escuse my extreme cynancism.. when i I second the NO vote...
These scams are rife on the net... stay away from these two most obvious scam words would be these two words in one sentance Cellphone and Africa!!! Plenty others out there in the big wide sea of internet dating dont just jump at the first bite sweetie... goodluck!!

personally I'd have to chat e-mail or msn or something like that. Or skype. For a bit first more than one long conversation. But as soon as I was comfortable i'd be happy swapping numbers. Good luck hope it turns out well.

Um,well could be on up and up. Then again you can usualy tell if english isn't first language from chatting online. Msn or something simmilar for a bit first. You'll get a feel. Er-- I mean you'll get a feeling as to if he's on the up and up. But here's a thing if you're realy unsure.Chat online ask him about his hometown. What was the name of the schools he went to? What school does his daughter go to or what's his top three favorite restraunts back home. Then later look the stuff up.

Yes that is a good idea, ask lots and lots of questions... maybe i was being a bit too cynical about the scam thing.. but i agree with above check the english, ask for details photos, and if he is hesitant at all, maybe just dont go there better to be safe than sorry.

If u have a pre-paid mobile and someone is pissin u off on it u can jus go down to ur local post offic and get a ne sim card and ur number is changed

My experience: I gave one guy my email and he sent me at least 10 emails in 2 days and when I didn't respond (cos he freaked me out with the sudden invasion of messages of personal info) he started asking 'where I am?'.

He hassled for my mobile so he could call and sms me all day.

Thank god he didn't have it!

I think if you like them (or the sound of them after writing for a little while) why not ask for their number and then you can decide if you want to call them.. who knows??
