How do I get to heaven? ( Archived) (124)

MiaMia...If you would just read the Bible , your questions would be answered ... The Bible says "The dead ARE dead" , NO ONE goes straight to heaven or hell, at death ,( people who died before Jesus came , will be taught at the resurrection and given the opportunity to accept Him or reject Him ) until Jesus returns , then the Books will be opened and everyone will be judged ... A lot of christians don't even realize this ; because they only go by what their pastor or preacher , or priest tells them ; and though these men of God have good intentions , they throw their own ideas into the things they preach , which isn't a good thing .. The only way anyone is going to learn all the real facts , is to read the Bible THEMSELVES ,and pray for understanding ; "not" just accept what others tell them .. Sit down with several versions of the Bible , reference and cross reference them , In some versions , there are things that have been changed , or left out , King James had portions left out of his version , because "he" didn't agree with them .The last paragraph in Revelations tells what people who leave out or add to the Bible have in store . It's a good idea to have a Strongs Concordance , which takes every word in the Bible , and tells what it means in Greek and Hebrew ... Most people don't even understand that Christ wasn't His name , it's a title like general , or governor. He should be referred to as Jesus "the" Christ , not Jesus Christ... The only way anyone will learn is to read it for themselves ... and that takes years of reading , cross referencing and prayer .

Contrary to what people may think , I don't condem anyone , that's the Lords job .I just try to get people to think for themselves , and maybe I stir up their curiosity so they will want to read and try to understand for themselves ; and anyone who thinks that I think I'm some sort of saint and have all the answers , is wrong . I'm as big a sinner as anyone , I'm just trying to get it right, a work in progress if you will . I've been working on it for 19 years and still don't feel like I have it right . Every time I read my Bible , I learn something new ... Try it , you might be surprised..
