Just one, oh hell, as many as you feel are important to you.

And maybe explain why it's meaningful.

"Life Goes On, Long After The Thrill, of Living is Gone"

jack & diane, by John Mellencamp

Because it rings true for me.

Don't know I have just one, probally more like 100's 1000's I love writing.
But for one id say.

From this song.

Reason forgiveness and moving on.

What I’ve Done.
I’ll face myself,
To cross out what I’ve become.
Erase myself,
And let go of what I’ve done.

What I've done - Linkin Park

In this farewell,
There’s no blood,
There’s no alibi.
‘Cause I’ve drawn regret,
From the truth,
Of a thousand lies.

So let mercy come,
And wash away…

What I’ve Done.
I’ll face myself,
To cross out what I’ve become.
Erase myself,
And let go of what I’ve done.

Put to rest,
What you thought of me.
While I clean this slate,
With the hands,
Of uncertainty.

So let mercy come,
And wash away…

What I’ve Done.
I’ll face myself,
To cross out what I’ve become.
Erase myself,
And let go of what I’ve done.

For What I’ve Done

I'll start again,
And whatever pain may come.
Today this ends,
I’m forgiving what I’ve done.

I’ll face myself,
To cross out what I’ve become.
Erase myself,
And let go of what I’ve done.
What I’ve done.

Forgiving What I’ve Done

peace

It's so complicated, I'm so frustrated,
I wanna hold you close, I wanna push you away,
I wanna make you go, I wanna make you stay...

show's how confused I am -- someday I'll get it right...maybe

'Forget what we're told, before we get too old'

Haven't a clue what that means?

Maybe that we shouldn't live according to other people's values. Don't know.

Can't remember exactly what its called but its a song by Bon Jovi

"I'm alive. I'm taking each day a night at a time".

Great song by great artist. I think it depicts hope regardless of how bad things may get in life. Can relate to the downtimes and the hope that things will get better as time goes on, is the basis of our strength to keep going day by day. cheers

Kill the best and buy the rest,
Its just spend a buck to make a buck

About the people in misery

And They Call it Democracy
Bruce Cockburn

One of Canada's brightest gems, I have been lucky enough to get front row seats for this awesome live performer.

Great video too.

Hey Singleinregina

No I did not know that!

But now I'm considering changing my screen name because I absolutely despise Cockburn and the Bare Naked Ladies.

Both because of their politics.

Oh, and Cockburn because I don't he's much of a singer.

He's such a lefty, as are the Ladies.

But I also consider the Ladies a novelty act. Their lyrics are so bogus -- meaningless drivel.

This is not meant to offend you, just my opinioin.

I thought you kind of looked like him, actually!
I hope you are not offended.

Speaking of drivel, how's that mellencamp cd?

I like my music to have a little more substance, but I am a musician and kind of fussy.

Don't get me wrong, I listen to a lot of radio and most of it is just bubble gum for your head, some songs I like are pure top40 crap too..like mellencamp...you really have to look around for something with grit.

I do despise the barenaked ladies, although they do have some talent, its just not my style.

But for favorite song lyrics I look to something that has had more meaning than a radio tune.
Cockburn is a fantastic talent, if you get a chance listen to some of his older albums, his insight into the human condition is well worth the price of admission.

He's oh so depressing and has a negative tone to his lyrics.

His voice is almost monotone and sounds definitely off key. His sense of pitch -- well, just say he sings with a white cane.

Mellencamp -- well, you have your opinion, I have mine.

Oh yeah, the other thing I hate Cockburn for is his lyrics sound like he's lecturing and condescending.

If I want an opinion of the world, I'll read an article in a magazine or newspaper or blog.

Oh, and he can spared us his anti-American cheap rhetoric.

I already pay for that with my tax dollars to the CBC.rolling on the floor laughing uh oh

Cheers to you!
Differences are good, and I respect your opinion.
Another favorite of mine is

And if you listen very hard
The truth will come to you at last
When all is one and one is all
To Be a Rock and Not to Roll

Led Zeppelin

About being true to yourself, and standing firm in those beliefs no matter who or what tries to move you.

cheers
