Age... it does matter... (8)

Ok all, So what is the deal? The longer I am on here the more I see the guys “looking for (younger/older) girls.” It seams to be that there is no one out there looking for their age group. Nine times out of ten, when I open my email it is from a 57 year old, (older then my dad,) who wants to go out for coffee. I understand why… older = more knowledge and younger = more “fun,” but is there a guy out there who is looking for someone his age? How do you find them?

Has anyone else found the same thing? What do you say in you profile that will make all the older or younger guys just go away?

Instead of waiting for someone to come to you. Maybe you should take the initiative and go for what you want.If you look at the womens ads, it's no different.Older women want younger guys and younger women just wanna play. No difference.

I am 43. Been single for about 4 years now and I am actually liking it a little too much. But in answer to your question, I have found the young and I mean young guys just love me. I tried to do the play and have fun thing with them but they would get serious on me and I would have to let them know that I could not be their woman. So I have stopped seeing them but I am turning them away all the time. I believe it is the idea of different than yourself. Young men want calm, laid back, easy going, patient, tolerant, understanding and unselfish not spastic, unpredictable and "it's all about me me me". Not saying that you are that way, I do not know you, but it seems that is what they complain about from the younger girls. The older men looking for the younger girls want an arm jewel. A show off trinket.

I absolutely agree with you. I am 49 and most of the men that contact me are anywhere from 37 to 46 and that is exactly what they have told me. That younger women are not mature enough. They like older women because they know what they want out of life. And yes, if they want a younger girl it is because they want someone on their arm to show off.

i think that age matters because some people think of it as a thing where if a 18 year old girl is seen w/ a 40 year old guy there is a name that the guy will aquire...robbing the cradle and plus the girl can aquire a name a well...golddigger! Thats why think i will stay at the same age

Age does not matter unless there is the issue of wanting kids. Some mid life guys just want younger females... not fair really, but I have seen male menopause up close.. it is scary. Post divorce men can really go off chasing girls that could be a daughter, not a date. ICK! I have also seen younger guys like older females. It is choice. It has to be what works for the couple or person. It is kind of frustrating.
