What do you remember 17 years ago (1990)? How about 34 years ago(1973) when you first heard about these Locust-grasshopper-like creatures? My dad took us to the park only to "our disappointment" not see any cicadas. professor doh

i second that. Every damn year. It drills right into the eardrums and they just get louder and louder.

the midwest has both annual and 17-year the 17- year cicadas came out about 3 years ago the fishing was slow that year
