There's always a level of fear of commitment even when it is with our soul-mate,it's normal,it's human.
The only thing we can do is to ask ourselves if this is truely what we want,will it make us happy and if we decide to let them go will we regret it later?
Once we've answered those questions it's one day at a time as with the rest of life.

The last soul mate I committed to ran off with a fireman..so much for soul mate ..so much for commitment..I wish someone would explain commitment to me I think I've got it wrong

Garry, many are scared to meet people of the internet. There are a lot of wacko's out there. Look at you...haha just kidding. Seriously i am nervous about meeting some ladies myself.
you have been around that long....one of my dates...failed to disclose her coke habit until a few rum and cokes later, along with the shock to hear her kids were taken away from her, her court cases...oh and guess what she had 5 kids to boot too. so ya..i think we (especially women) should be nervous about meeting people and committment.
On another note, If i am in love and with someone i really care about i have no problem with committment. This does not scare me one bit.
