I was going to change this and make it generic, because I know this is going to cause a bit of a storm, but at the end of the day it is what I see, and if it what I see, and more importantly what my heart feels, why should I be afraid to define it. for we are not yet living in a totally authoritarian state?

Look I have to say this! This couple whose kid went missing abroad?
I am old enough to remember the little blond lad, who went missing whilst abroad many years ago,? It sent a chill down my spine and I watched my son like a hawk, ever since that day! I remember the bulger children, He never left my side?
Some of us see these terrible happenings and for a few weeks, keep this vigil up, some of us see these happenings and continue this vigil until they reach a responsible age, I was one who did the latter, it does not make me a paranoid father?

For from what I am lead to believe, it makes me part of a majority!

I lost him once! Only for a few moments in time, but it still brings a tear to my eye and puts fear into my heart 7 years later.

I have to admit an angel was sat on my sons shoulder that day, and a leprechaun was sat on mine, and I wish for this child’s sake it is the same angel and leprachaun,.

But it still does not get over the fact that my heart does not believe this guy!

A father with no passion, in his eyes, or soul; in his temperament and in his vocal ability to express himself, for what has happened?

Just made me think Hmmmm!

A father who did an interview where a single tear was never shed, a choked up impassioned voice was never portrayed, at one single moment in that interview? Yet mathematical analysis’s; summary financial projections and legal discussions on the financial implications on the donations received, were prominently portrayed, with a more passionate voice?

Just made me think Hmmmm!

Then you see, it was not scripted, there was no auto cues, there were no prompts or notes to read from. Yet within 24 hours of finding out the ITN interview was taking place, you get an interview any professional would be proud of doing,,,, no erms; no yeah’s; no pauses; no breaks, nothing? not even a hint of anger?

Just made me think Hmmmm!

A few other things that made me go Hmmmmmm?

The directors’ of the campaign are both the couples uncles?

This clip is on the website?

Kate is a keen runner and in the last few days has tried to include a run in the daily routine. Yesterday (Sat) at 7am we ran to the monument at the top of the steep cliff overlooking Praia de Luz. We reached it in 19 minutes.

Ok the media have got hold of this and are turning it into a frenzy, transforming it into a best selling novel, yet we forget there are 100,000 other children missing in this world?
And each one of those missing parents nightmares returns every time a story like this is brought to their attention.

But then again I have only briefly been in his situation, and unless you walk a mile in another man or woman’s shoes, you will never truly know.

But that still does not finalise the fact that I just do not believe him?

JC - I hope what you seem to be implying is wrong, really I do - it just doesnt bear thinking about. So many people have so many views when discussing this subject but I think we all agree with Gail that whatever - our heart goes out to anyone who has lost a child in this way and lets hope the power of prayer can return them home.
In the father's defence regarding his demeanor - he is a heart surgeon and as such would be capable and used to putting his feelings to one side to get a job done, I would have thought?
I also remember Ben Needham and in my heart I really believe that one day he will make contact with his family - I belive that he may have some memories of when he was small and he may then question other things in his life and start to look for answers.

One thing that has puzzled me though is that people have been sending out pictures of Madeleine and messages but no one has sent a message out via e mail or the press to the abductors pleading for some information - even if it was just to say that she is well and being cared for.

Just so very very sad.

Even someone as wicked as to take a child would surely know that the parents are going through agony not knowing - I just cant imagine what kind of people could do this. What a sad reflection on society when you have to scare the s...t out of kids to keep them safe.
My daughter had to make her two small boys " stranger aware" before they started school. I was out with the boys one day when a man in a queue smiled at my 4 year old grandson. He looked up at me and in a very loud voice he asked " Is he going to take me away and cut me up?" God knows why that thought came into his mind but I could have died of embarassment and the guy didnt look too chuffed either! But I guess you can never be too relaxed when the safety of your kids is in question.

I think Bill may have something? This is akin to what the British reporter, Lori Campbell had to say, though about Robert Murat.

Of course, I'm not going to leave my open to any form of libel, save to say I was concerned about Robert Murat's body language. The answer, more often than not, lies closer to home and has previously involved someone "attempting to be of assistance" and in the foreground from the outset. Also, the fact that there appears to be no real in-depth investigation into the 'phone calls he and his friend, Sergey Milenkov, made that night despite claiming to not have spoken for a year. Why lie???

Albeit, Gerry McCann is a top heart consultant who will, no doubt, be used to giving lectures and presentations and, therefore, well versed in public speaking and, in turn, highly trained in keeping composure and control even in the most upsetting of circumstances, there is something about his body language also that flags something up for me.

There are many questions that don't appear to have been answered still, including why the Portugese Police have refused help from British Police and have rejected offers of British sniffer dogs (vital at the outset of a case like this and some of most highly trained in the world)? I feel here it may have become a case of if the Portugese Police are left to their own devices and do not find the little girl, that often happens, children not being found. If they accept the help on offer and the little girl is found, it would highlight the alleged incompetence of the Portugese? Its a shame that with a case such as this becomes subject, somewhere along the line, and invariably so, to politics - yet again!

But, as I say, the answer in these types are cases often lie closer to home!! Now that we are nearing the end of the third week......... I truly hope she is found safe and well!

Intuitions is a funny thing, yet believe me when I say on all the free dating sites there are similar threads to this and about 20% of the people believe there is something dodgy going on! 20% now that’s a high number in anybody’s book!!! If I dare to generalise, it equates to around 5 million people in the UK, who have their doubts?
The emotions are wrong, Heart Surgeon or not, ability to cut your feelings off or not, the question is if you love something or somebody, you will naturally show emotion and feeling, FACT. The expressions are wrong but most importantly the body language is wrong, in his latest interview, his eye contact is short and sporadic, even Politicians’ the best liars and con people in the world cant hide the fact that the public know when they are lying. And it is when that perception, combined with intuition, feeling, and doubt makes you know something is not quite right? You can’t put your finger on it, but you just know.

I have been in sales for many years, and you learn to read people and pick up on the slightest anomalies? You look for, belief, disbelief, acceptance, rejection, happiness, sadness, un sureness, and a myriad of other things ending in (ness) because it helps to build a picture of that person, you can actually see within a very short period of time whether of not you are going to secure the deal or take the meeting to the next level.

I say this because every skill I have ever learnt, every feeling I have ever felt and every thought I have ever thought, contemplating the true meaning of the expression, word or sound I see or hear, leads me to believe there is something dodgy going on here?

I am sorry and I truly hope I am wrong, but I see too many anomalies’, too many? And that worries me! One or two yeah, but a boat load, no way man!!! No way?
I do not believe in god, for if he did exist, he would not allow something like this to happen to somebody with such a pure heart.

But if there is a divine power out there then just for once mate, or missus, just for once do the right thing! Allow a nations hope to turn into reality? Just for one moment in time allow us the thoughts that this world is a nice place to live in.

This just sends shivers up my spine - I hear all that you JC and Dandy say and I know you are probably right but I just cannot for the life of me contemplate the thought of it all. The first 10 days of this investigation actually made me physically ill and I dont even know the family but every morning and every evening it was the first and last thing I did, check the news and it was like a black cloud hung over me - it has lessened but the thoughts dont truly go away as to where she may be and more so, why she was taken.

I will say I have had emails from people giving their version of what has happened. They have not wished to put their thoughts in this thread, leading me to believe that they wish for their comments to remain private.
I have no personal thoughts or views on what has happened, I have no information relating to the case and as such it would be foolish of me to speculate, for I am no detective, I am just a guy who does not believe what he see’s, in the husbands face? And cannot pin point the exact reasoning behind the feelings if you see what I mean.
