I have had no problem making first contact. I f the person is interested great, if not, that's also ok.
I've had a few contacted me (not including women from Russia)and a few from another site.
3 of them (1 here) have not returned (thanks ladies).
I'm here more to start friends. If more, then it's great!!

I think I have ever had only 1 person acutally contact me PERSONALLY for a relationship. But hey - we're not dead yet?!
I feel your pain - I too have several messages sitting in my mailbox after replying to individuals emails. They are still here because the mail is still here. So the question is ...... did I say something wrong? 
It doesn't bother me to make first contact and it doesn't bother me to be contacted first either.
I've been contacted by several ladies, however most of them are in places way out of reach (Russia, Africa..etc) The few that have contacted me here (Surrey BC) I've written them back, and that was it, I see their mail from me still remains unopened..go figure, huh ?

Yea, you gotta love them with all of their faults, just like they do for us..and come to think of it, aren't we one of their biggest faults ?I will bvut it's very rare - usually it's just to say - nice profile or your hot (not said in those words) since I;m not heavy into "finding" the one I spend more time in the forums than searching profiles

I don't have a problem with contacting someone that I may THINK I am interested in......it's usually the reply that throws me off.....

the contacting is great ....its the waiting and kniowing if they are interested so its a tough call at times
