Favorite Place in Canada to Vacation (28)
Don't let me forget Ottawa. Canada's capital and most people think of it as a place to send your money.
Go there any time of year and you'll get a treat. It's so clean and beautiful in the spring with the tulip festival and the summer if you can stand the humidity, is very pretty.
Then the autumn leaves just north in the Gatineau hills and of course the world's longest skating rink is the Rideau Canal in the winter.
Canada day at the parliament hill is a huge party with top entertainment and fireworks.
Oh yeah, they also have the best hockey team in Ontario. Maybe the world.

Aside from the Rockies my second pick would be Toronto.
Canada's largest city, attracts the best of everything from concerts to theatre, arts and attractions.
I'd catch the Jays for a ball game in the summer and the Argos too. Winter would be ideal too of course coz the maple leafs are the hotest thing in town. (May not to be able to get tickets though coz they sell like hot cakes and most of the builiding is sold to season ticket holders).
Canada's Wonderland is close by. As is Ontario Place. CN tower Canada's tallest free standing builiding is a must. Lake Ontario, world class restaurants, shopping and a wild night scene on Young street to unleash my wild side..

Well I have to say right here on Quadra Island; or any of the small islands off of Vancouver Island are fantastic! Nothing like paddling a canoe on one of the lakes here, setting up a nice campsite, fishing, swimming, and having a good time with friends - unbeatable to me (but truly there are a lot of beautiful places in Canada - lucky us!).
You've got to try Cape Breton Island. Beautiful scenery and lakes, rivers and the ocean is within a 10 minute drive.
Never been down that way yet...maybe next year
I hate to admit I travel overseas 
it is my patient & joy, but if I did choose in Canada it would be Wasaga Beach & Niagara Falls always have been favourites of mine!

My favorite holiday place would be Banff. I haven't been there in over 25 years but it was so beautiful. It was like a little piece of heaven on earth.
