Do people understand people?
We all have a habit of 'interpreting' what is said instead of trying to understand what has been said. I think it gets worse on line and in emails when we don't have body language, tone of voice and facial expressions to use as comprehension aids.
I frequently read through posts that seem innocuous to me only to see that the next poster was offended by something they 'read' in the same words. Then some posts I find surreal don't seem to trigger anything for other readers. I just read through anything I am going to respond to several times before clicking submit.
