"Tears of a Woman"

A little boy asks his mother:
why do you cry?
Because I am a woman she answers.
I don't understand he says.
His mother hugs him and says: and you never will.

Later the little boy asks his father:
Why does mommy cry?
All women cry for no reason, is all that his father could answer him.

When he became and adult he asked God:
God, why do women cry so easily?

And God Answered:
When I created women, she needed to be special.
I created her shoulders strong enough to bear the weight of the world.
And soft enough to be comfortable.

I gave her the strength to give life, the kind that ecceps the rejection that often comes from children.

I gave her the strength to allow her to go on when everybody else gives up.
The kind that take's care of her family, despite illness and fatigue.

I give her the sensitivity to love her children unconditionally, even when they have hurt her deeply.

I gave her strengtn to endure her husband in his faults,
And to stay at his side without weakening.

And finally, I gave her tears to shed whenever she needs them to be shed.

You see my son, the beauty of a wowan is not in the cloths she wears, nor is it in her face or in the way she does her hair.

The beauty of a woman resides in her eyes.
It is the door to her heart;
the door where Love resides.

And it is often through her tears that you see her heart go by.

I would like to know what you think about this poem about "Tears of a Woman"

It's a nice poem thats for sure but out dated since today men cry to.
So many men are dieing prematurely due to stereotyping remarks like that.
Men and women bodily functions are different in the production of a child but in care taken both today are doing the task as single parents.
Women won the right to vote and work gaining more and more ground towards being equal every day in the work force and other area's.
Since they desire the same opportunities given males isn't it only fair that women accept men being real as well and start letting go of what they believe a man should be and start seeing him as he is.

Don't get me wrong the poem is awesome.
Women deserve to be given so much credit.
I am seeing things that really peeves me that aren't right.
I am a male and it hurts that there is so many women that are degrading me/male when women are doing the same things today that men do.

Later the little boy asks his father:
Why does mommy cry?
All women cry for no reason, is all that his father could answer him.

Come on is this man dumb,ignorant---he couldn't have said son mom's cry to release their stress like a man does we all do son.

Weren't we given the same gift at the cross--forgiven!

Aren't we all special in our own ways--wouldn't it be healthier to believe in our own special being without degrading the other to feel better--it takes two to brong about destruction or one just made a bad choice in the beginning.

I gave her strengtn to endure her husband in his faults,
And to stay at his side without weakening.

---As if women are perfect without fault!

I just wish the war would stop
that we would all simply focus on the I and what would be nice to do!

I have a son that every time he has a project to do he will come to me and say dad can you help but he stands back and watches me do his project for him.
So I began saying no you can do it and I stood back and watched now he goes right at his projects as I do quietly with determination.

The last one was a desk he bought at ikea--boy was he upset that I told him to do it himself but he completed it did a great job and walked around head high and proud of himself.

He said you just want me to feel what it's like to be independent don't you--I just smiled--yup and what it feels like to feel that sense of achievement--no drug nor drink will give it to you.

just goes to show the power of words I guess to hurt or heal.....many interpet this poem as powerful and heartwarm...and your experiences make the wording of the poem hurtful....just a reminder for ALL of us...to use and choose our words with caution...thanks for explaing for me what your meaning was with your earlier postwave

I think to over-generalize is a dangerous thing......not every boy gets told not to cry and not every girl gets told not to play "boy games" whatever that means...

Have you lived in San Francisco ...or even been there? I cannot imagine two completely different cities.....geographically...architecturally...culturally.....I am not sure the analogy you are trying to draw between the two cities...but I have been to both and I am not certain what you meanconfused dunno

Nope we don't all get told not to cry bye our parents but there is the school yard there is that hot babe and they were told that.
There is the tough guy that is so angry that he bullies everyone to release the stress building up in him due to being afraid to be honest seeking recognition from the girl that had a father like that that is seeking love in all the wrong places and ways-oh she is now a 15 year old mom.
The cities---they have some amazing displays going on with pride day---the little boy who cries thinks he's a girl trapped in a man's body....There is a reason for everything---words are powerful.

Nope also it's not everyone but one adds to two and another makes three--it's a grown process that just simply keeps increasing--yea I know they were born that way and words didn't have a thing to do with it---but if you put a infant among monkeys he acts just like one.
We are born with instincts everything else is given and from what is given we create.
