My ex has moved on and now I am forced to re-evaluate my life. I have been out of the dating game for some time and am "just" getting back into it. But I am scared of what the future has in store for me.

Most of everyone out there knows that the military life can be hell on relationships. I have experienced it first hand! But are those out there willing to commit to

- a army life-style?
- moving every 5-8 years?
- being in a relationship when the other could be called away at any time?
- being absent from the home for months on end?

Sorry all, I guess I'm just venting after having a bad weekend?

You've got the cards stacked against you in a military relationship, no doubt.

Tough situation. Tougher to make it work.

That's reality.

Don't let the moving thing get you down...I know many women myself included that 3-5 yrs in one place is a long time and they are not in the military...there are many out there that love the lifestyle and have the greatest respect and admiration for all the men and women in the military...I think you will be very pleasently surprized what the next relationship holds for you...

When you meet "the one" she will go to the end of the earth with you!

Since I live near Petawawa, I do hear how difficult it is, but I do know many couples who are content with that life, one is my neighbor!

SHe is out there Cupid smitten

Get it off your chest!!! we all need to do that once and a while. I have found a lot of people here are willing to support each other.(Crazy isn't it but with some of the e-mails I have had...) Any how stick in there. There is bound to be someone out there for you, after all with that pic. You are a looker!!! angel
