I find cultural life there fascinating. When I visited, it struck me as a sad place - old historic buildings once glorious but now in need of refurbishment to bring them back to life. It would have been nice to have witnessed its heyday.
I think living around the 1880's at the end of the Indian Wars would suit me. I could be one of the first women to ride a horse in pants while enjoying values of innocence, honor and sacrifice. I can just see myself as being a big ranch owner having outlived three husbands & raising 4 kids. :)
I'd love to have got totally wasted and enjoyed the freedom of the 60's, recoverd in the 70's, and made loads of money in the 80's. Then retired to enjoy all my money and memories!
