I think theres maybe a lot to be said for people spreading out around the world, looking at different cultures and points of view, learning to live beside each other etc.

Governments are like traffic lights to my mind, the traffic flow regulates itself without them and if it wasnt for all the silly wranglings of governments we would all be left to get on with it peacefully and without wars

yeah - i know- simplistic peace

I have been to Poland every year for the past five years and this has been an extremely sensitive subject for the Poles (BTW more Poles live in Chicago than any other place outside Poland).

The visa restriction hasn't been lifted it has just been eased slightly. Before (I think) the requirement was that if a country had a 96% successful rate of visa application (to the US) then that country could join the visa-waiver program. For Poland it has been dropped to 92% (or something like it). So it's still an onerous burden to meet.

It's fashionable to say Krakow but for my money it's got to be Warsaw. There so much to do in Warsaw, which is a cosmopolitan city but yet retains the charms of the east.
