I Have been born and raised Southern (GA.), I haven't ever even approached the Mason-Dixon line. All this is leading to a point and that is as crazy as this may sound, I would LOVE to hear you talk! Just hear your accent, see if it would do what I think it might!??
I would definitely love to move to another State if I met someone and we fell in Love over time. Right now my kids are grown and have their lives, so it's time for Mom to live hers and start over.

I'm so sorry it didn't work out the way you thought it would.
I have lived in several different states in the US that I have no idea where to tell people I'm from. No one can tell from my accent or my natural lingo. It's alot from the north with hints of the south and the midwest. However, when I ponder why I can't give a straight answer to the question, I begin to realize that each time I have relocated, for what ever reason, I have grown from the experience of who I am, in a positive way.
Of all the things I have experience in life, I live with no regrets. Even with life- altering tradgy, I have never felt abandoned. I still have me and me makes the best of the situation until I get the nudge to move on. Where that takes me, just makes life more interesting. I'm always where I'm suppose to be at that moment.
(OMG, that makes me sound like a nomad. I have no idea how I ended up in my current state. No love of my life brought me here, no family. Just a stepping stone, a time to rest and recapture my balance in life.)
