when i was growing up i never would have swore infront of my parents or any aunties or uncles etc, out of respect. also my mum would have killed me!

now though, i say what i like. i don't swear infront of my parents often, only when they infuriate me...which is happening alot lately

hi littlewriter nice to hear from you again !

wave
well they say that there's always two sides to every story love !

i always love listening to your side of the story !

conversing

mind you i must be honest i found that ( and don't take this the wrong way ) !but i found that i got on better with my ex wifes parent she could could swear in front off ( where they actually swore at each other .. but were really communicating with one another all the time on a one to one imformal level than i did with my paents because they were more common less reserved and easier to relate to .
moping
but would i want to speak to my parents like that all the time or have my children speak to me like that all the time ? ?

dunno

i don't want my son swearing at me....its a respect for your elders thing. but at the same time, i also want him to be himself with me and be able to talk to me about anything.

i wouldnt wash his mouth out with soap or owt if he swore, no way! i'd probably just ignore it at the age he is now (he is 2) as he doesnt know what a swear word is, and if he swore it wouldnt be his fault, it would be whoever is caring for him or whoever he is with that is at fault.

if when he got older and he started swearing alot....well then i'll just see! hopefully he won't though.
