Do people judge today by appearance??? (18)

Yes Unfortunatly there are scum bags all over the world who will judge someone by their appearances. I have no tolerance nor respect for people like that and believe me I let them know it too!

I am sorry your daughter was mistreated in a hospital of all places. Pothead or not places like that are not there to judge but to try to help those who need the help. I can understand that there are some who take advantage of the health care BUT it still does not give them the right to judge anyone on their appearance. That is very UN-professional if you ask me.

I hope some sort of action will be taken at the hospital for what happened.

Everyone is allowed to voice their opinion. I on the other hand disagree. I try and get to know someone before i decide whether i want to be friends with them or not. What's inside really is more important than the outside. I have met some wonderful people who to look at, are very strange. IMO

Well, I know when I see someone with a face full of piercings I automatically assume that they're not very mature! I don't have a problem with anyone who is into the whole piercing thing but, I do know that my "Piercing phase" went out when I was about 17.

As you get older you start to realize that your appearance to yourself and other people around you is very important. Sometimes when you make an appearance and its taken wrong it makes people feel bad about themselvea even if we don't know it. That is why you always try to get to know people before you judge them.
Piercing, Tattooing, fat, bold, skinny, short, too tall, ces’t la vie!! Just be yourself - if people don’t like you ..it is their problem.. but make no mistake about it...You will not be liked by everyone.. and I know that for a fact.. 'You know, I'm not everybody's cup of tea!' Although, I really am a nice person and those who know me best could not imagine me as anything but so. I sympathized about how your daughter was treated – just because you are different (in my case, from a different country) you are treated differently. Don’t worry .. things get better or else you get stronger!! - Hope she is feeling better now..

And like I tell myself, if you don't want people to think you're stupid, shut the hell up!!

I walk right up to them and start chatting like I've known them for years. Some seem to apperiate it, other well you know.


I've had tattoos and pireceings since I was 11. I get judged everyday of my life. But like Dougie said, who cares. I know who I am or what IR.


Kinda like the song Signs. No long haired freaky people need apply. Well I'll tell you, I've tucked my hair up under many of hats and went in to ask why.
