War and Peace…

We could discuss about roots of fundamentalism, how to fight with it and how to remove the suitable situation for its growing. How we can have peace and bread for every body in the world and Middle East? How we can help each other to have a better world? How we can remove our prejudgment about each other and anything else which could make a better world for every body! If it is good now!
Please try to be short. Usually people do not read long posts! We do not have boss here. We do not have any standard here who is intellectual or not! Our behavior and way of reasoning shows who we are! And it is not important if we are not high educated, we could have very wonderful ideas!
And according to me what is more important than our knowledge is our behavior. I am sure that all of us know the rules of CS forums and we are behaving according to that. This thread is not for fun! Of course we can laugh with each other, but not to each other! Please help to have a healthy thread!
I invite all of the open minded people to take part in this thread and share their ideas. We want to learn from each other.
I am waiting for first idea!

Remove all divisive religious elements for a start...remove all capatalistic influences...teach everybody to live off the land, and allow families to spend more time together.

A total ban on ALL fast and overly processed foods...and let cattle eat naturally...not that rotten feed they chuck at them...and no steroids!

And ban Celine Dion from performing anywhere...ever!wine

I too am weary of the repression of religion and governments and also of their main tool, the media. At least here we dare speak out but in lots of countries such dissention is a punishable/prisonable offence. It doesnt mean the people on the streets there are any less tired of the killing and repression.

We can go on marches etc here but where does it get us - nowhere, they dont listen, they just reiterate the echoing lies "weapons of mass destruction" etc. like a litany of hate and its the same in politics all over the world, the ruling elite stir up hatred with lies and their various propaganda machines.

Somehow, somewhere, people need to start being altruistic and seeking out like minded others - selfishness and greed are killing our earth and its getting a bit serious.

If this is all about oil and superpowers as I suspect then I reckon we have to start working together rather than repelling all the time. The net is a brilliant means of communication for the common man - lets use it for the common good and talk to each other cos if the oil problem gets much worse they will sure as eggs come from chicken, be pulling the plug.

Poolak, I applaud your efforts

Grow your own.

Stay home, work, be self sufficient, mind your own business and let others take care of theirs.

Thanks. I think the main problem of the west and somehow world is fundemetlaism. Though in the so called Great Middle Esat, most of the people see it as a way to defend of themselves and are ready to sacrifce themselves in this way. Al-qaede becomes stronger day by day and nobody can do anything about it! In one part we have people that are ready to kill and to be killed easily and in the other site people who do not want it.
According to me can we describe without motto what is the roots of fundemetalism or not?
I am sure there are amny here that they can do it and I invite them again express their ideas!

I can do that! as you see I am speaking from herath of Tehran in a way that you do not dare to speak like me even in your country against fundamentalism. I am very sure if you recieve a threatening letter from a fundemetalist, you do not appear here again!
I hope you are right about waht you are saying! as I said before I do not have any personal problem with anybody even you! I am not here for fight, I am for dialogue and as matter of fact I have put all of my works aside and just take part and I can not continue that for a long time. I must my job very soon, and maybe tomorrow!

How can we possibly remove the roots of fundamentalism Poolak?

Many of us would like to know the answer to this. There are factions within all religions, all thinking their way is best, so, by this reasoning, is it reliigion which is the root of the problem.

Similarly, within politics, each party believes its own doctrines are correct so is it this at the root of the problems - either way it is people driven by deep seated, long held and effectively indoctrinated beliefs.

Within many countries the rules are made by the elite of the religious orders and this compounds matters for the people who disagree as they are then faced with going against not just the orthodox beliefs and government but also against their families too.

How do you suggest we remove the "situation for its growing" ?

People are not going to give up their lifelong views too easily on any side, but I agree, there needs to be a reformation of sorts.

There is a very good basic article on 'fundamentalism' to be found in wikipedia.

I think people need to look at this issue not just in accusatory terms but need to also examine their own place in the story and that of any organisations which they belong to or vote for - on all sides of any divide

All too often people follow blindly beacuse the path of least resistance is the easiest - we need to find ways to resist fundamentalism in all its ugly guises.
