Apparently this quiz was used at Microsoft for interviews and if you got the answer in 5 min then you got a job. So you have to time your self before you start:

On a very dark night (no moon) there are 4 people that have to cross a
bridge over an overflowing river.

You have one flash light with enough battery power that will last only 17 minutes - regardless of use.

The bridge has no railings so a person could easily walk off the side and
into the river, if there was no light. The bridge is only strong enough to
support 2 people at a time and there is no way to feel ahead with a stick as the bridge is not flat. You must use the flash light!

Do to the different ages of the people, each of the 4 people take the
following times to cross the bridge: 1, 2, 5, and 10 min.

Because of the size of the bridge and river, you cannot throw the flashlight back - it must be carried back - else it could fall in the raging river.

How to you get the 4 people across the bridge safely before you run out of battery power?

(There are no tricks with this one)

Do you have what it takes to work at Microsoft? I'll post the answer tomorrow if noone gets it...good luck!!

hhmmm for clarity I will label each person 1 through 4:
Person one = 1min man
Person two = 2 min man
Person 3 = 5 min man
person 4 = 10 min man

P1 and P2walk accross = 2 minutes total
P1 walks back = 3 minutes total
P3 and P4 walk accross = 13 minutes total
P2 walks back = 15 minutes total
P1 and P2 walk accross =17 minutes total

You could also switch the order of the 1 min man and the 2min man for the initial return as long as they both start out and one returns so in the end they are the last two togo across.

wow that one was hard, I think the smoke is still comin out of my earscheers hug peace

Wouldn't it just be simplier, if say you were to lead the first person across, and used belts, or something to tie together and lead everyone else across like a chain ?

lol, it took close to 15 min and alot of paper, dancing its similar to questions we recieved in a reductive reasoning classconfused Heres one for you all:)

A tumor was located in the interior of a patient's body.
The treatment to destroy the tumor involves radiation rays.
The treating doctor wants to prevent the rays from destroying the surrounding healthy tissue.
As a result the high-intensity rays could not be applied to the tumor along one pathway without cusing significant damage.
However, high intesity rays are needed to destroy the tumor, so applying a low-intensity ray would not succeed.

How should the doctor treat their patient?

i will let ya know after work later today
