It's not what I wanted and I thought I found something great. Now I cant really say whos fault it really is because there were things going on on both ends. It's sad though that she had no understanding of the real me and how this crazy year of mine got the best of me. My mind is kinda like a Matchbox Twenty song right now and yea. I am a little unwell. That will all change soon though and it would be nice to talk to somebody who understands.
Yes and i met Shinedown a few years ago at The State Theater in downtown Detroit. It was a great show. Their first CD was only 10.00 and you got a VIP pass to meet the band after everything was over. Great bunch of guys. You can see the show from the WRIF website if you join their cyber crew. There was also another set on there which I didnt see which was all acoustic.
That would have been cool to see. I have a high school friend who plays for a band called Tiles and has played with Dream Theater back in the late 90's.
I also made my own video to the song Pull Me Under in a film production class I took years ago.
Last show I have been to was Family Values with Korn, Evanescence, Flyleaf, Atreau, Hellyeah (vinnie from Pantera) and Trivium. I tried to check out Chevelle at Arts, Beats and Eats over the weekend but couldnt find anybody to go.
My next show will be a band called Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers at The Magic Bag in Ferndale on Oct 5th. You might remember a band called The Refreshments back in the 90's who did a song called Banditos which was very popular. This is the same singer and drummer. I saw them on May 3rd and the show was incredible. I cant wait to go again.
The misic is a little different and really crosses genres, with some songs sounding like alt rock, others showing a more Country influence, and others sounding more like a modern pop song.
Wow... you sure keep busy!!! One of the back up bands for Dream Theater was Redemption. The singer is from Fates Warning. They sounded awesome.
I really would like to see Shinedown. Another cool one would be Stone Sour. I don't see near enough concerts. Hardly any of the good ones come to Grand Rapids.
I remember Fates Warning and have pretty much all their stuff on my Hard Drive along with Dream Theater.
Yea. I dont think there is much in your area to do. lol. Been to GR a few times to go to Michigans Adventure amusement park but that was about it. I did see a show kind of out that way in Kalamazoo back in the 90's when Pantera played but thats about it.
Also, Shinedown just played here. It was the 25th I think and was at the Michigan State Fair grounds. It was a free show but again, I couldnt get anybody to go. They have free shows every year and I have seen everybody from The Ramones to Sublime to Nirvana play there.
