I can see it of Rick Hanson - but Terry Fox's name has been kept alive and in the spot light, evey school (here at least) participates in the Terry Fox run each year.
Saw the movie too plus a documentary about Fox's effects on Cuba - interesting, I never knew there was a connection there before.

Terry Fox was a great Canandian. When they had the vote for the greatest Canadian contest I voted for him. I think he came in the top five. As a school teacher we teach his story each year before the run weekend in September. My favourite movie version is the one with the music, "He Ain't heavy he's My Brother". There is no doubt his greatest, mainly because he was so humble in his attempt to do a great thing.

My girls school does a family Fox Day every year.Parents and family are invited to start the day off walking or running around the back field and get a token for each time they do 1 km,the number of tokens gathered is then converted to cash and donated to the fund.
It's something we all look forward to each year.

It surprises me how many people forgot him and even Rick Hansen.
I have chatted with several people and when I bring up these names,the response is "who's that"
