Tim Hortons was actually started by NHL hockey legend Toronto Maple Leafs Tim Horton. The very first Tim Hortons to open was on Ottawa St in Hamilton Ontario. Three years after the very first Time Hortons opened, Tim Horton was killed in an auto accident while driving drunk along the QEW
I forgot to mention..I only know this, because I still have the orginal newspaper article of when he was killed
