Adieu...

Couldn't find a category for ex-introducing yourself... not uncommon for me to not find a category fitting for my content... par for the course.

Despite the fact that I've discovered recently chat and blogs and seem to quite enjoy the new features, after some deliberation I've decided to remove my profile and move on.

Before leaving though, I wanted to say a few things...

I've thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I'm not leaving because of any ill will on anyone's part.

I've met some really nice people here... some of you have means to keep in touch with me after I leave here. I've made some friends.

I did find love here even though it was only a season. I have no regrets.

Many of you have been very supportive during some major transitions in my life this past 6 months... for that I am forever grateful. Thank you.

I wish everyone the very best, all the time. You never know when our paths may cross again in the future...

Canada Geese

... everywhere but south...

Twas a busy day for geese here yesterday. When I started the thread I'd seen 3 or 4 v's together once heading north and heard them 3 more times over the course of an hour while I walked Houdie, but did not see them.

By the end of the day, I'd heard them twice more. They are getting restless! (Sorry, Jen)

I find myself drawn to their call with the changing seasons. One year while driving to Vermillion to catch a flea market, the sky was filled with them returning in the spring. I'd never seen anything like it before. I hear the migration of the snow geese is quite spectacular, although I've not had the pleasure of seeing them myself.

When I lived in Ontario, it was the cry of the loon that captured me. I don't hear them much here. I also seem to notice robins in the spring!
