Cleaning out the gardens, painting the front window, organizing the garage, shelving for the shed at the lake and puppy(ies)!!! Oh, yeah... and hockey season has started! Find out today when practices are...
Indian Summer... maybe a cruise in the car! (I'm trying out this power of suggestion thing...)
Reaching your financial goals has been wonderful, CharlieGirl, but today you might find yourself confronting the downside: paperwork! Bills may need to be paid, contracts or agreements signed, bank deposits made. Once you sort your way through that, however, you probably will decide to get out and go shopping, as a lot of short trips in your community are indicated. Books might be at the top of your list.
Let me just find my list... it must be buried amongst all this paperwork!
We spend our lives figuring out what makes us tick... what we like, what we don't like... most of it is hardwired. We hope that we learn what will make/keep us happy and we supposedly go for it!!!
If we make poor decisions for ourselves, don't stay true to ourselves, we (and others) end up dissatisfied, unhappy and maybe even hurt.
Why is it so hard to admit what we've learned about ourselves especially if it seems "not nice"?
I think this is truly a personal decision. I decided at about 37 that I would not want additional children. It came from within tho and it truly was my choice.
Come with me let me lead the way I will be the one that stands beside you We could be anything we dream As long as we keep dreaming it together
We'll ride the wind and soar above the clouds Where we'll be free...
Come fly with me to a place where love has never been before And you know. It'll just be you and me Fly with me to a world where no one's ever been before And you know we wont ever have to leave, come fly with me
So here we are where time stands still And a perfect moment, it can last forever Cause we both saw, the same shooting star We made a wish and here we are together
As we ride the wind and soar through open skies Now we are free...
Come fly with me to a place where love has never been before And you know. That it's only you and me Fly with me to a world where no one's ever been before And you know we wont ever have to leave Fly with me
So free
Wont you come fly with me to a place where love has never been before And you know - It'll just be you and me Fly with me to a world where no one's ever been before And you know we wont ever have to leave Fly with me
Every once in a while, I run across something that sticks with me for a very long time. This is a passage I read... and reread. It holds much meaning for me. I call it... Reverence - Bob's Story...
Bob, typically a man of few words, asked for a few moments to tell us about his spot in the southern Rocky Mountains. It is a place he visits every year, without fail, although it's a challenging three-hour hike from the nearest navigable road. Twelve thousand feet above sea level, tucked between two jagged ridges, is a forest clearing that nobody knows about but Bob. He described it for us as a "pocket of peace," not more than two hundred feet in diameter, surrounded by white-trunked aspen trees. The handful of boulders that are sprinkled about are covered in moss, and the grass, though plentiful, gets such limited sunlight that it grows only a quarter of an inch every year. He told us that the turf is so delicate that he has found his boot prints there years after he made them.
In telling us of this idyllic place, Bob spoke with a passion that charmed the entire assembly; it was as if we had each taken a seat on one of those green boulders and were trying not to disrupt the calm. Clearly, Bob's "spot" afforded him a sense of tranquility and utter contentment. All of us understood how fragile and beautiful a place it must be. Bob then announced that he recognized there was another such place in his world, one just as fragile and precious. The second, he said, was the intimate and private world of the woman he loved. He said it had dawned on him, as she disclosed certain details of herself to him, that he needed to treat her private world with the same gentleness and respect with which he entered his private retreat every year. He said he was determined to afford her world as much reverence as he gave his Rocky Mountain paradise.
"Today, CharlieGirl, you might discover a new psychic talent that you may not have tapped before: the power of mind over matter. This may also involve spiritual healing. There is also the ability to see what lies beneath the surface of a person's mind. These abilities could be a bit disconcerting if they aren't trained, so try to find a psychic development class if there's one in your area. A friend who's done something similar could be of assistance. "
