I know what you mean about people from northern Ireland talking fast! I have a really good friend I met through work who lives in Belfast, and I often had to tell him to slow down when he was talking to me! He is married, and the funny thing about is he is Catholic, and his wife is Protestant! I asked him "So what does that make your kids besides confused!"
My Mom was 3/4 Irish, and a 1/4 German. I don't know exactly what area in Ireland my family originally came from, but my Aunt used to travel to Dublin every other year, and I thought it was to visit one of her cousins. I never got a chance to ask her before she died. I've heard Rogers is a pretty popular name over there, and I've heard it may have been changed in the past. Does anyone know if that name comes from a specific place/region/area?
My Dad was 100% Greek, and didn't move to the US with my Grandparents until he was around 12 or 13. Interesting combination, I know!
