It has its appeal But it depends on the Accent, south of the border you will need a translator and North of the border you need to listen carefully because they sure speak pretty fast

My family came over as endentured servants during the famine on my mothers side,protestants. My dad's family came over through the states,catholics My mom's family married in with other Irish here some of who had their names changed as they were orphans. My dad's family married Irish except for his mom who married an native from here.

I'm canadian by birth My blood runs green,love the wee folk,know the banchee,the old religions,my girl has and Irish name,have Irish gifts on speed dial and me friends introduce me as being Irish. And I can spot blarney a mile off
