I had kids for the first time knock on my door trick or treating last night! And they weren't in costume so when I challenged them tongue in cheek...the quick thinking youngsters (boys) took their t-shirts off and wrapped them towel head style on their skulls and went now we are in costume
I played along with it and gave them some "treats" First lot on their own.... no grown ups.... second lot with a parent.
Actually came across an article that said Halloween started in the Celtic times in Ireland/England 2000 or so years ago! Surprisingly when I thought it originated in America.
Is harmless fun is how I see it but I do get concerned about kids going on their own. Sure when I was a kid (not that long ago no smart comments ), we would go around and sell raffle tickets, even ask if any odd jobs etc by ourselves or with a friend but nowadays sadly kids just can't be kids anymore for fear of safety.
Anyway any thoughts on it all!
