I can't even find where to access these new E-cards 
Yep the naughty wee elf did in both your cases above...
if you look at your menu that you go into click on the forums on but look further to the right inbetween Polls and Rate Photo's.
Then once you have clicked on that look at the left menu and you will see your E-Card In box !! Click on that and it should be in there....
Easy peasy... and you can create your own ones with your own pics as well... if you are really really naughty hee hee!!!
