The moon that looked near full
last night, channeled through
the clouds in three dimensions,
is clinging to the western sky
this morning, a brand new trinity
with sun and earth, to mark the day
that touches many in their faith,
allows cold souls to open, seeking
sun or merely seeking to expand
to the width and depth of love,
compassion and connection
they are designed for.
Midnight mass gives way
to breakfast, brings us
to the pagan symbol of the tree
where brightly coloured wrappings
hide the substitutes we use for telling
of our feelings or perhaps
just echo custom so we feel a part of
something bigger than ourselves.



I wish you all the very best of things, and just thought that i would mention that I didn't always recognize that something was the very best of things until I came out on the other side.
