-hare chrisna (less - you heard lot about in the time of -power flower-)
to explain it needs a lot of time and several comments here are right.
I think, it is more interessting to look what they have together and why...
in former times, I travelled around the world and had contact to many of theese religions, no fear I travelled only, I also saw people belive in animism.
I have been in India - Inonesia - Nepal - Australia - ...
That`s my opinion now:
they all believe in something, god - allah - shiva... - and so on, and it doesn´t matter, as long as they are looking for peace and love...and in all religions is this one of the most messages...only the interpretation is different...unfortunately.
The buddism only is different - has no god - but the message is the same...
The hinduism is the only one you have to be born in it - you can not change to this religion - please correct me, when I´m wrong...

Desperation - fear - poverty - is the fertile soil of each religion - isn´t it?

Hinduism means the religion of the Hindus.
It is based primarily on the concept of cycle of life. That one has certain
duties to perform in a lifetime playing different roles for ex for a man as a son,father,husband and finally in the last few years one should retire to seek spiritual pursuits. Hinduism talks about a creator , a destroyer and bramha . There is a belief in idol worship , heaven and hell , sin and good deeds and life after death. There is even ancestral worship. And of course there is the Karma theory as in reap as you sow.
Thats all i can say in short.
