Since a few days I can't connect anymore with linux to the server of CS? Have tried from 2 different systems and have no logical explanation for that (except that CS has blocked it's server for Linux, what would be very strange and I don't seriously belive)???!!! :(
A support request to CS is unanswered and I am not sure what the reason could be.
Is there any other Linux user who still can access this site or has the same experience like me?

It doesnt make sense that they would block specifically Linux users... I would say either something has changed on your end or the website end...

It could be:

Try either reinstalling your web browser or better still just download a different one...

Or perhaps you could have a general problem with an app you installed recently that effects your web browser or network....

Or firewall/security issue that somehow just blocked that particular site....

I dont currently have a Linux distro installed but if you want to discount Linux as being the problem you should download the latest version of a Live CD linux such as KNOPPIX and try connecting that way....

Hi

If you are saying that both your Linux boxes are prohibiting you fom connecting to the CS, then I would say you have either a

- firewall
- proxy
- router

issue. :-(.

Are you using a proxy for your internet? Do you have a modem/router at home? You should check that the CS has not by accident been thrown into the "Blocked Sites List". Check your firewall settings also.

CS has several URL's that you can use, try

What browser are you using? Have you tried downloading Opera (www.opera.com).

If you still have not resolved it, drop me an email with the error you are getting, I am assuming it is "Error 401".

Good luck!

p.s. Clear your cache and reset your cookies. Sometimes this helps!

Hi, Penguin brother :-)
I had the same prob. Suddenly I could not log into CS anymore.
To be honest, I have no clue what caused that.
The direct help was to install VMware and install Windoze and that worked.

I got back to normal (loggin in with Linux) after I changed my computer and installed a new distribution.

That may not help you. So another way could be to install M$ Explorer in Linux. Search for "IE4Linux". It really works great, but looks poor.

Good luck

Sorry, am not a Guru
