Personally; I've never experienced the ability to control the falling in love; nor have I been able to make myself fall out of love with the men who loved me then left me for other, younger women or abandoned me for their first love, alcohol which has happened to me several times....
and no one ever bought me cars, houses or provided for me materially or financially during or after those relationships ending. God blessed me; I earned and have maintained my own ship through utter frugality and living simply.
That's my two pennies.
Just go for it...it's better to live fully then live in fear because life happens in spite of our illusions of control. Courage Dan and steady as you go...it will all roll out as it is supposed to so you may as well enjoy life as much as you can.
